The Office
of the Lieutenant Governor
and the Missouri Veterans Commission have been working
to establish a program where
Missouri veterans are able to bring their experiences
into the classrooms of our state.
It is our goal to give our veterans an outlet to
share their wealth of knowledge and experiences with
Missouri’s youth. These veterans will be able to share
valuable information that can be useful in the different
fields of social studies. Additionally, since the
purpose of social studies education is to promote active
citizenship, our veterans can serve as an outstanding
example of service to one’s community, state, and
nation.
