Our goal is to give
Missouri veterans an outlet to share their wealth of
knowledge and experiences with Missouri’s youth.
Veterans are able to share valuable information that
can be useful in the different fields of social studies.
Additionally, since the purpose of social studies
education is to promote active citizenship, our veterans
can serve as an inspiring and patriotic example of service to one’s
community, state, and nation.
Missouri teachers are
currently able to access
examples of how bringing veterans into the classroom can
help address the Show-Me standards, links for national
and local veterans service organizations, educational
resources and programs, information on Missouri and
national military history, and links to other veterans
history projects. |
